Again...
16/7 – Morning friends! Hope you are all amazing and loving life! Well, the weeks training was going good and the body starting to feel on the up and up…..apart from this deep pain in my left pelvis/under butt area. It was causing some decent pain when getting going in the morning for about the first 500m but then would subside. No biggie….until yesterday. I head off on a 25k normal middle distance run. I started with the usual hobble but then came good and was running ok. I got to the turnaround point and things started to get a little sorer on the way back. After some tiny rollers, the pain was getting too much, eventually reducing me to a walk, no, full blown hobble, about 7.5k from home. I didn't know what to do (no phone) so decided to try and get to the shop (another 2.5k) and wait for Tegan to turn up for work. To be honest, the pain was so bad and I was in such a bad way, I wasn't sure I would make it! Eventually I got there though and spent the rest of the day in pretty solid pain, hobbling around work and then hosting a coffee course at the shop! Wow! This morning I went to see my chiropractor, Anette and she released few things, making the pain a little more manageable. Still pretty ordinary though! This has thrown a spanner in the works for sure! I was planning on really buckling down from yesterday as it was 300days to the start of Ultraman, but I’m just not sure what will happen now in the short term. Hopefully with a little rest and some treatment it will heal sooner rather than later. Time will tell. I feel like time is ticking and I need to get my base training in but also listen to my body. I now am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Lately I have had all these little weird things going on with my body and I think it maybe just needs a good rest and healing through super clean nutrition. I have been pondering a detox for sometime now and perhaps, with this latest little flare up, the time is now. Let my body rest, heal and return stronger, lighter and better than ever!? I think that will be happening! Life is full of challenges and adventure and part of it all is problem solving and doing everything we can to achieve our goals. I know Ill be back better than ever, sooner rather than later, but at this time, rest and healing is needed. Blessing comes through these processes. Thank you for being amazing friends. I pray this finds you all well, loving life and smiling for no reason. Big love for you all, and Ill catch you next week!
