So it begins again...
30/4 - Friends! What is cracking? It is the start of another week and....THANK GOODNESS the start of another training block!Last Monday, I had the snip....so that put me out of action for a number of days (nothing like getting straight to the point!) I wasn't able to 'rest' cause you know, life, but I def couldn't run! I had four and a half days off and then started testing the waters to get going again. Slowly does it but I think I am almost back to full effect. Thank goodness again!Today marks seven weeks out from Brisbane Valley Rail Trail 100miler and the start of my next training block. I gotta get some speed in these legs cause that bad boy only has 1500m of elevation (nothing!) over the 161k. I am keen to try and have a crack and set my best ever miler time. I know I can get in solid shape by then, have a good, challenging program done up and can't wait to get into it! There will be some stiff competition with much faster wheels than I, but I will put in a good showing. Just stoked to have a new miler to have a go at! Good work Alun and the crew! Got started with a 20k with 400m of gain at Yepoon today so nothing like starting a new program with a bang!In two weeks I am also heading to the Coast again to crew and pace my lovely friend Carmen at Ultraman. For those who don't know it is a multi day ultra triathlon, consisting of; Day 1- 10k open water swim, 145k bike. Day 2- 280k bike, Day 3- 85k run. I am SUPER pumped to be part of Carmens crew and see her crush over the three days. It is going to be EPIC! She is ready and vying for the top womens spot....which I strongly believe she has a red hot go at achieving! Get it kiddo!Tomorrow is also the 1st of May. I am kicking off a MASSIVE campaign (which I am keeping secret at the moment), but lets just say it is like nothing I have done over the last 20years! BRING IT ON! I am FROTHING and can not wait to get into it. Stay tuned for more of this!Anyway friends, just a quick touch base today. Hope this finds you all well, chasing the dream and setting rad goals. Keep being amazing! Big love. Sandy
