Week 1...
7/5 - Man, Im back training, one week in and no mucking around! So so stoked! It feels so amazing to be back in routine, throwing some new training stress in the mix and getting the job done! The launch pad for Week 1 saw just under 100k's run, 30k's ridden and 2.5k swum. A great start I reckon!I find it so hard 'resting' after a race and not being in a normal training cycle. Each day doesn't feel quite 'right' and my purpose seems a little lost when not training for something. This Friday sees exactly one year out from my next massive goal and what I will be devoting my time and training regime toward. There will be other goal races between then and now but this secret, massive mission is the foundation of what I am dedicating a full 365days toward. I can not wait!In the short term though, I am going to be focusing the next six weeks toward Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. This is a new 100miler that is flatfish, pretty runnable and a completely different race to what I usually do of that length. I am keen as a bean to try and set a new miler PB for me and see what pans out on the day. I reckon there will be some speedsters there so Im not getting too ahead of myself, but the experience should be a fun one. Otherwise, all is ticking along well and apart from my heaviest stack whilst running ever this week, all is good body, mind and spirit. I have re-focused my diet, got a good program in place and all back to my normal. Love it.Over the coming weeks I look forward to learning new things, getting some speed in my legs and extending my fitness toolbox. All good things. I can't wait to share this with you all and rip in, making every day count. Big love friends. Have a ripper week.
