BALI
17/12 – Man, what a week! BALI! We have had the beautiful opportunity to go for a week’s holiday (after some serious mucking around with the volcano half erupting) it has been just the break we needed. All in all, it was a great mix of relaxing by the pool, shopping and training (as well as some surfing). I found some good mojo and while it was a heck of a lot flatter than I expected, I got some decent k’s in….85k plus to be precise. The most I have done in over 8months! The last 5-6weeks has seen consistent running which is a winner! It has been a long time coming, but man it felt good to get the legs turning over! I ran everyday and walked a heap too. My hip got a little sore during my long run (23k…again the longest I have done in over 8months) but on the back up run I did this morning it was pretty solid. This all makes me super happy and positive about what is ahead. However, one step at a time…literally. I was also super stoked with my eating through the week. I had a few vegan treats today, however the whole week I ate really well, consciously and not in excess. All of which I don't usually do on holidays! I was super stoked with this and proud that I was mindful in my practices. I truly hope and pray that this week has been a launching pad for the year ahead in racing, training and recover. I aim to return to a fitness level and physique that I have never experienced before…..100% lean gains. The master plan is in place and I am ready as ever to execute. Looking forward to seeing you all back on Australian soil soon friends. Much love.
