So much happening!

Man, this time of year is wild…and I love it. And by wild, unless you are into obscure endurance sports, you probably wouldn’t care but heck, I do and I’m excited. If you are interested in hearing about some different activities around this winter (summer in the NH) then stick around!

First and foremost. Of equal importance, and in my humble opinion, the two greatest sporting events in the world every year (barring the Olympics that is every four years but more on that shortly)…Le Tour de France and The Western States 100. Unless you live under a rock, you would have heard of the Tour. I froth on it. One day Tegs and I hope to go to France and follow the race around. This year brings intrigue like most, but man, some of the climbing days, Cav winning a record number of stages and all the usual drama, it has been incredible follow. If you are interested, I say GO POGACAR! Get around it. Additionally, my lifetime dream race, one that has been around for a long time, The Western States 100 has just been run. Another incredible year with amazing performances, it had me captivated for the week before and the week after…like every year! So, bloody good! Massive congrats to Jim and Katie for incredible performances.

Hardrock 100 has also been on this weekend, which is an iconic 100mile endurance run in the big mountains of Colorado. Its an extremely difficult event and one I dream of completing…if only I could run a qualifier! Coming up is also UTMB…a 100mile race in Chamoix France. This one is a doozy and I will be entering the lottery for next year (along with WS subject to my completing the Shinetsu 100miler in Japan in September). It crosses into three countries and certainly one of the biggest events in Europe. A spectacular course with plenty of players to follow.

There is the Golden Trail Series, Lifetime Gravel Series…and my own season of racing and training. Some additional gold.

Lastly, The Olympics. What can be said!? From a VERY young age I have adored the Olympics and all it stands for. The history, the triumph, the tragedy, the wins and losses, it is a true spectacle. I have already warned the girls that for those three weeks there will be two options: no TV or the Olympics. Citius-Altius-Fortius. Game on!

So, that really is enough to keep one occupied for the couple of months that are upon us. With me doing 100mile + weeks of training, the kids, Tegs, shops and life, I don’t really have a lot of spare time to be watching such displays of physical prowess but for these, I do my best to make time! I froth on all of the above!

I hope this little endurance junkie input finds you well and having a super weekend! Rock and Roll friends. Consistency+Commitment.

Corlè and I having our own season of fun…
