Little adventures…

It has been a big week for our little one Corlè. This year she made the Wide Bay team for soccer and the State trials were to be played in Townsville. So, just a small road trip north (just over 12hrs) it was. Two games a day and plenty of training, meetings and chilling in between. It has been a really enjoyable time with three losses, two draws and three wins. She played pretty well and enjoyed the busy but tiring time here. There is some bloody good players in this state that is for sure!

Tegs and I got plenty of training in and tracked down some really good coffee! A hike up Castle Hill was also a must and we really love it up here. A flat city with plenty of hills, sweet trails, good vibes and just a pretty lovely place. I’m not sure exactly what we expected, but Townsville, we have been impressed. Well played.

Training wise for me, things have been good but a little stop start over the last month due to a mild calf irritation and then getting the back of my knee re-coloured. In saying that, things have been not too bad by most peoples standards re-building. Weeks of 91k, 162k, 98k and 148k, its time for a four week block before Shinetsu Five Mountains 100miler, my next race in September.

After a little hiatus up here, it will be nice to return home tomorrow, get back to work (business and running) and knuckle down before leaving for Japan. Super sick!

So, not a big update this week, although I have some decent thoughts about upcoming blogs. Life is great and it has been really lovely that Tegs and I get to be up here with Ol Mate and celebrate her first big representative carnival. We are very proud of her and can’t wait to see her continue to grow in her soccer skills.

Much love yall. Consistency + Commitment
