The ups and downs
20/2 - Whats up party people?! Man, the last week has had a bit of everything! I am feeling incredibly good health wise and energy levels are sky high, but there is always seems to be niggles holding things back a little. About two weeks ago, I started to get a little soreness in my left knee....runners knee I believe (the tendon that runs behind the knee cap). I have had this before and know how to treat it so I have been doing so diligently. I have also been trying to listen to my body, take 'down days' (bike, yoga etc) when I feel it is needed. Last week was a shorter week volume wise anyway so that worked well. This week however is to be a big week and whilst I had an incredible day training yesterday, the down came today when my knee was still a little sore but my hip jacked up reasonably loudly.I am doing everything in my power to stay positive and have these minor setbacks work in my favour. This week I will take a couple of riding days as on Friday, I am heading down to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland to have a crack at doing a double loop on the Connondale Circuit (will total between 100-105km). I feel so good with where my training is at the moment, I just want to make sure I am getting everything I can out of it. Down Under 135 is not that far away and with a few weeks of hard training left, I want to make sure I have done EVERYTHING in my power to turn up to the start injury free and ready to finish what I couldn't last year. I am SO excited for this race.Otherwise, all is going amazing. My Raw Till 4 lifestyle is going great guns, I'm leaning up and feeling so solid. I just need to get on top of these couple of things and I will be charging. Positivity is still high, vibes are good and the froth is solid!
