Just doin it!
Wo man! What a busy time it has been! I am well aware I have missed a week blogging but it has been a doozy! Last week was the biggest week of training I have ever done…..36hrs……which equated to 341km running and 18.5k walking. Crazy man! It was a test, as it should have been and mentally I nearly cracked….but, I got it done! We are getting close now and with only a few weeks left until D-Day, this little run across Australia is coming in hot!
It has been a time though. I’m not going to lie. Getting training in, house stuff, work and spending time with the girls is a juggling act. I feel like most of the time I do ok but then a lot of the time I do terribly. It is incredible that they are all so understanding but at the same time, it doesn’t make it any easier in my own head when I beat myself up about it! Its hard! But, if it were easy, everyone would do it right?! Or so they say!
Seriously though, everything is falling into place pretty nicely. My crew is pretty darn solid, my training and body going well. Logistically we are making progress and getting it all sorted. We are still waiting and hoping a van option comes up and I am doing my best! We probably almost have enough coin to get it rolling and still praying the documentary crew comes together. All in all, there are a lot of balls in the air and I am juggling like a mad man!
This past couple weeks have been super cool on a few other levels! I got to meet my mate Will who I made friends with online and over socials. He is also running across Aus at the same time all be it a shorter distance per day and starting in Margaret River and heading to Byron. I was on the Koa Podcast which was fun, got packages from Willpower and LSKD, a couple of clothing sponsors. I got a set of Beats headphones which have changed the game for my running…incredible. Work has been super fun, the family great and we watched a super cool series The Lincon Lawyer. All good times!
So, all in all, life is great. Just cruising along whilst hustling every damn day to be my best, inspire others and be the raddest human I can be! Its hard but I’m doing my best. I’m sorry my blogs wont be super long as I am pressed from a lot of angles at the moment. I will do my best to get them up regularly but please forgive me if I don’t!
Lastly, my crew has insisted that I start a Go Fund Me page for my run. If you feel led to contribute to the large cost of something like this, please feel free to use the link below.
Also, get some in ear headphones, go for a run and listen to Polaris…thank me later!
Much love friends, keep rocking and being your best. Consistency + Commitment.
