Nearly Christmas!

Life has been manic lately.  Like, sometimes not that enjoyable busy.  I know it is for a season and I do love to be busy but man, sometimes it would be nice to just stop!  Between working A LOT, trying to manage COVID nonsense at work, getting back into training, the kids, Christmas stuff and life in general….just wow.  Hopefully now, our lead into the 25th things wont be quite as hectic….but Im not holding my breath!

I keep trying to tell myself that this madness is just for a period of time and I am sure it will be, but it will be nice to slow just a little at some stage.  To tell the truth though, I am bloody glad to have things to do, a job, friends and family to keep me on the go and all the blessings in my life.  Unlike a lot of people in the world right now, those things do not exist or they aren’t able to experience them so Im not complaining.

On the training front, things have been slowly returning to some normality.  After getting my second jab last week and it completely knocking me, the running is returning slowly.  I have tried to motivate myself by aiming to hit 6500k for the year but i haven’t left myself a lot of time!  That means BIG days between now and the 31st of December.  I am planning a big adventure tomorrow and keen to see if I can knock off a goal I have had for a while and failed at once.  That goal would be the Bundy Boarders run…..a loop of what I have deemed Bundaberg’s surrounds.  Its about 80k (give or take) and I will be doing all I can to get the job done this time round.  Lets do it.

Outside of this it is school holidays, the kids are doing their things and Tegs is rounding up work for the year.  I am ramping up for the holidays and looking forward to meeting cool people and crushing a LOT of coffee.  I have also had some really good conversations with a production company who is keen to make my doco for the run across Australia!  They are all but committed and the ball has started rolling.  Here’s hoping thats for sure!

Otherwise, there isn’t a lot to report this week.  Life is ticking along and things are good.  Some more sleep would be nice but hay, we battle on!

I hope this finds yall well and loving life.  Have a beautiful Christmas, spend it with the ones you love and Ill check in again next week for the last blog of 2021.  Commitment + Consistency

If you have time….heck, make time, listen to the newish Rich Roll podcast with Tommy Rivs.  WOW and incredible!  Enjoy!
